The Centre for Reformation and Renaissance Studies invites proposals for its annual conference to be held in the academic year of 2015-2016.
Format: as an alternative to the typical presentation of papers before an audience, the suggested format for this conference (desired but not required) is to pre-circulate papers in draft form and to allow considerable time for discussion. Presentations will naturally take this into account.
Preference is for proposals of an interdisciplinary nature, on topical issues in Renaissance or early modern culture. Proposals that favour individual disciplines will also be considered.
The successful candidate will be the primary organizer, under the auspices of the CRRS; she or he will be responsible for soliciting and selecting the papers and assembling panels, as well as fundraising. The CRRS will provide venue(s), audiovisual equipment, logistical and limited administrative support.
Application: Please submit a one page proposal and curriculum vitae with some ideas for potential speakers to crrs@vicu.utoronto.ca by December 1, 2014. For any updates to the information, please visit our webpage.
