Association of Renaissance Students

The Association of Renaissance Students of Victoria University, in the University of Toronto, is an undergraduate student group founded in 2004 to represent and promote Renaissance Studies across campus. The ARS promotes collaboration of students from a variety of disciplines who share a common interest in the Renaissance period through academic lectures, socials events and a student academic journal, Virtù and Fortuna.

In the 2015-2016 academic year, the executive team consists of Shelby Ricker, the president of the ARS, Camila Walls Castillo, the vice-president of the ARS, as well as Jonathan Wiggand, the Editor-in-Chief of the journal and the Secretary Ana Djapa. The ARS also works in conjunction with Emily Brade, liaison to The Centre for Reformation and Renaissance Studies (CRRS). See a detailed list of contact information below.

Anyone who would like more information or would like to get involved in A.R.S. is encouraged to contact Shelby or Camila at if they would like to get more involved in ARS activities or attend ARS events.
