Philip Sohm is a Professor in the Department of Art at the University of Toronto. His publications include Painting for Profit: The Economic Lives of Seventeenth-Century Italian Painters, ed. with Richard E. Spear (Yale University Press, 2010), The Artist Grows Old. The Aging of Art and Artists in Early Modern Italy (Yale University Press, 2007), and Style and the Art Theory of Early Modern Italy (Cambridge University Press, 2001).
The Friday Workshops are a series of workshops in an informal setting, designed to give students and faculty opportunities to present works in progress for interdisciplinary critical discussion.
