Early Modern Interdisciplinary Graduate Forum No. 3

December 8, 2011

All early modern faculty and students are invited!

The Early Modern Interdisciplinary Graduate Forum (EMIGF) will be holding its third meeting of the year on December 8. Please consider joining us for two 15-20 minute papers and what should be a lively discussion.

When: Thursday, December 8, 3:30PM-5:00PM

Where: Senior Common Room, Burwash Hall, Victoria College
(89 Charles Street, rear entrance)

Paul Greenham (Institute for the History and Philosophy of Science) will be presenting on: “Dominion and Will: English Calvinism and Isaac Newton’s View of God.”

Emily Winerock (History) will be presenting on: “The Dundry Maypole Controversy: Dancing and Sacred Space in Early Modern England.”

Trevor Cook (CRRS and Victoria College) will be moderating the discussion.

Coffee, tea, and cookies will be provided by the Centre for Renaissance and Reformation Studies.
