The Early Modern Studies Seminar is pleased to announce the upcoming conference, “Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind”: Love and Sight in Late Medieval and Early Modern Literature, which will take place on April 22nd and 23rd, in the Jackman Humanities Building. Keynote speakers are Prof. Suzanne Akbari, whose talk is titled, “Sight Lines: Affect and Mind in Chaucer and Marvell” and Prof. Katherine Rowe, who will be exploring “Architectures of Shakespearean Desire: Virtual Globe Theaters from Hollar to Second Life.”
Registration is $25, or $20 for students, and opens at noon on the 22nd.
