Early Modern Interdisciplinary Graduate Forum VII

All interested faculty, students, and alumni are invited!

The Early Modern Interdisciplinary Graduate Forum (EMIGF) will be holding its seventh and final meeting of the academic year on Tuesday, April 12, 2016.

EMIGF is a monthly event where you can meet and engage in conversation with early modernists (graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty) from across the disciplines. Please consider joining us for two 15-20 minute papers and what should be a lively discussion.

When: Tuesday, April 12, 2016, 4:00PM-5:30PM

Where: Senior Common Room, Burwash Hall, Victoria College (89 Charles Street)

Clara Steinhagen (History and Philosophy of Science and Technology): “Smallpox, Female Sensitivity, and Inoculation Rhetoric in Early Modern Europe”

Paula Karger (Comparative Literature): “Traces of the Mediterranean in New World Indigenous Writing”

Aaron Miedema (History, York University) will be moderating

Coffee, cookies, and tea will be provided by the Centre for Reformation and Renaissance Studies.
