Early Modern Interdisciplinary Graduate Forum: No. 9

The Early Modern Interdisciplinary Graduate Forum (EMIGF) will be holding its third meeting of the academic year on Tuesday November 6. EMIGF is a monthly event where you can meet and engage in conversation with early modernists (graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty) from across the disciplines. Please consider joining us for two 15-20 minute papers and what should be a lively discussion.

Susannah Rutherglen (Art History, CRRS) will be presenting on: “Painting at the Threshold: Pictures for Doors in Renaissance Florence.”

Mingjun Lu (English) will be presenting on: “Chinese Chronology and Paradise Lost: Milton’s Apologetics and Global Cosmopolitanism.”

Rachel F. Stapleton (Comparative Literature) will be moderating.

Location: Senior Common Room, Burwash Hall, Victoria College (89 Charles Street)
Coffee, tea, cookies and fruit will be provided by the Centre for Reformation and Renaissance Studies. If you would like to join us for drinks afterwards, we will be heading to the Duke of York.
