Early Modern Interdisciplinary Graduate Forum II

All interested faculty and students are invited!

The Early Modern Interdisciplinary Graduate Forum (EMIGF) will be holding its second meeting of the academic year on Thursday, October 30, 2014.

EMIGF is a monthly event where you can meet and engage in conversation with early modernists (graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty) from across the disciplines. Please consider joining us for two 15-20 minute papers and what should be a lively discussion.

When: Thursday, October 30, 2014, 4:00PM-5:30PM
Where: Senior Common Room, Burwash Hall, Victoria College (89 Charles Street)

Aaron Miedema (History, York University) will be speaking on: 

“The Flinch, Fear and Function.  Early Modern Italian perspectives on Combat Psychology”

Boaz Schuman (Centre for Medieval Studies) will be speaking on:

Changing Minds: Mental Content in Descartes and the Scholastics”

Tianna Uchacz (Art History) will be moderating

Coffee, tea, and cookies will be provided.
