Early Modern Interdisciplinary Graduate Forum
All interested faculty and graduate students are invited!
The Early Modern Interdisciplinary Graduate Forum (EMIGF) will be holding its seventh and final meeting of the academic year on Tuesday, April 8, 2014. EMIGF is a monthly event where you can meet and engage in conversation with early modernists (graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty) from across the disciplines. Please consider joining us for two 15-20 minute papers and what should be a lively discussion.
When: Tuesday, April 8, 2014
Schedule: 4:00-5:30 talks and discussion; 5:30-7:00 reception
Where: Senior Common Room, Burwash Hall, Victoria College (89 Charles Street)
Johnny Bertolio (Italian Studies) will be speaking on: “Working and Writing in the Age of the Inquisition: The Case of Lattanzio Benucci (1521-98)”
Sam Kaufman (English) will be speaking on: “Untimely Matter and Queer Comedy in A Midsummer Night’s Dream”
Guita Lamsechi (Art History) will be moderating.
From 5:30-7:00 PM, we invite you stay for a reception at the Senior Common Room to celebrate the year-end of the EMIGF. During the reception our Corbet Assistants Samantha Bellinger, Ariella Minden, and Angela Zhang will take a few moments to highlight some interesting, yet little known works belonging to the CRRS rare book collection.
