This year’s Distinguished Visiting Scholar is Herman Roodenburg, Endowed Professor and Chair of Historical Anthropology and Ethnology of Europe at the VU Univeristy Amsterdam and Researcher in Ethnology at the Meertens Institute. Professor Roodenburg’s work deals with social control and the cultural history of emotions.
