Comus and Some Other – Stephen Orgel featuring The Musicians in Ordinary

Milton’s Masque Presented at Ludlow Castle has a rich context, both historical and theatrical. This talk reconstructs the original performance, and considers its background in the Stuart masque tradition, specifically through Inigo Jones’s stage designs for three court productions.
