  1. Hi there,

Is there any way to access the abstracts for the Friendship conference that just passed on the 14th and 15th?

    -Berkley Bradley

  2. Dear Sir or Madam,
We are studying in the Cordoba University the ancient editions of Erasmus in Spanish libraries.
We are interested in knowing if this rare edition is in the library of Toronto University. Only this edition of the work De duplici copia verborum ac rerum:
Erasmus, Desiderius: De duplici copia verborum ac rerum… Lugduni (Lyon): Apud Steph. Doletum, 1540. 8º.
    Pages: 346, [11], [2] (white), [1] p.
    Typographical Signatures: a-y8, z4.
We have found the reference to there is a copy of this edition in the Library of the University of Toronto in Longeon’s book, Bibliographie des oeuvres d’Etienne Dolet, Genève, 1980, p. 83.
We would know if it is true. Thank you very much for your help.
    Yours sincerely,
    Prof. Dr. Julián Solana
    Córdoba University (Spain)

Could you please tell me if it is possible and what are the Opening hours ?
Could you please send me, if possible, the list of your collections ?
    Thank you very much
    Sincerely yours
    Prof. Myriam Greilsammer

  4. Please forward to the Curator of Early Printed Books

    Dear Sir,

I have been doing some online checking about Girolamo Ruscelli, Del modo di comporre in versi nella lingua italiana. You hold an incomplete copy at press mark PC1517.R87.1563.

On the basis of your description it appears to be the Venice, Sessa, 1572 edition. See the Italian Edit16 database, entry CNCE 30244.
It has the same paging as the earlier 1563 edition CNCE 29885, but the latter has the words “Nuouamente ristampato” on the titlepage, which in your copy is missing.

    With best wishes

    Neil Harris
